Hi All, I have gathered you here for some important updates that will be affect our program in the next coming here. First of all I want to start off by congratulating you on a great year and stellar performance. I know how much hard work was put in this year and it is very rewarding to see such great results.
However, the reason for gathering you here today is to provide an update on a somber note. We have just found out that we have lost our largest contract due to government spending cuts. This was in no way determined on our performance and there is nothing more you could have done. I wanted to share this with you all as soon as possible and to hear it directly from me first and transparently.
While this will have a big impact on our operations this year, I am pleased to share that we are currently not going to be conducting any layoffs. However, due to this loss of revenue in order to sustain our operations with a smaller budget we will be realigning some job descriptions and responsibilities. In this time of change I ask you to be open minded to operating differently but at the same encourage you to talk through and approach your managers and myself with any challenges. While I can’t deny this will be a challenging year for all of us, I think we can also look at it as learning experience that will allow us to become stronger and based on our performance this year, I believe we have the capacity to get through this together and win new opportunities when they come up.
