I've always thought Bill Clinton was an influential speaker. President Clinton has a way to simplify and explain some of the most complex topics. In addition, his genuine approach helps to keep his audience engaged from start to finish. What I also like about President Clinton's speeches is that he would weave charm and humor into his speeches to keep them entertaining while still informative. Lastly, when discussing serious topics, I think President Clinton would often pause for emphasis on certain points. Each of these techniques has made President Clinton one of my all time favorite people to listen to. I think President Obama definitely shares several of the same traits that President Clinton, and he also ranks as one of my favorites. I think it's very important to master the techniques I described when you are in a position that consistently requires you to address a nation of people. These skills become even more important when you're responsible for discussing serious topics like those required of the President of the United States.

I couldn't agree more, Rudy. As I shared on the call this morning, I had the opportunity to see President Clinton in person. It was right on the heels of the Monica scandal and I thought for sure this guy was going to be cooked. When I tell you he had the audience in awe and eating out of his hand within five minutes I am not kidding. I think what both he and President Obama possess is that 'human factor' - the ability to be just like everyone else and convey that. I think Obama has this quality as well but what I like even more about Obama, and his wife Michelle, is that they let their personalities show through. They aren't afraid to talk about their struggles as parents, they are quick with a joke or a laugh and they are not afraid to show their human side by dancing on shows like Ellen. All of these things are elements that feed into the trust factor that we read about. A little levity goes a long way. Thanks for sharing and also thank you for your willingness to be vulnerable on the call to day. I hope it encourages others to open up in the same way.
Best, Lori
